Overview of the testing process

The IMMray PanCan-d test is available exclusively through Immunovia, Inc. in Marlborough, Massachusetts. Here’s how the process works:

  1. The licensed provider verifies the risk status of the patient for pancreatic cancer. Once a high-risk status has been verified, the provider signs the test requisition and returns the form to Immunovia, Inc. via secure fax.
  2. Customer Support calls the patient to confirm receipt of the test requisition and the patient’s address, and to explain the testing process.
  3. Customer Support ships a test collection kit to the patient’s home via FedEx®. The patient will keep the kit until the scheduled blood draw.
  4. A trained phlebotomist collects the blood sample and sends it back to Immunovia, Inc. via FedEx for processing.
  5. Within 5 to 7 business days after receiving the blood sample, the test results are returned to the ordering provider’s office via secure fax. The provider then informs the patient about the test results.

FedEx is a registered trademark of Federal Express Corporation.

Blood collection

After receiving a completed test requisition, Customer Support will call the patient to discuss the options for getting their blood drawn for the IMMray PanCan-d test: remote phlebotomy or going to a blood draw location.

Patients opting for remote phlebotomy will have a trained phlebotomist come to their office or home to draw blood for the test. The appointment takes approximately 30 minutes, and the phlebotomist is responsible for returning the blood sample to Immunovia, Inc. for processing. There is no additional cost for remote phlebotomy.

Patients who prefer to go to a blood draw location instead of remote phlebotomy can have their blood drawn at an ExamOne or Any Lab Test Now location. Customer Support can provide the patient with location information and will facilitate making an appointment at participating ExamOne locations.

Patients should confirm with Customer Support that any nearby Any Lab Test Now location is a participating partner with Immunovia, Inc. Once confirmed, the patient can walk in Monday through Thursday from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM to the Any Lab Test Now location to have their draw completed.

Any Lab Test Now and ExamOne are responsible for returning the blood sample to Immunovia, Inc. for processing.
